Application Fee

Age Limit & Selection Process

• Age Limit: Maximum 50 years for System Engineer, 40 years for Maintenance Engineer (Junior) and 32 years for other posts, as on 25/11/2026. Age relaxation as per Government of India rules; no age bar for permanent BHU employees.
• Selection Process: Written Test → Skill Test → Document Verification.

Vacancy Details

• M.E. / M.Tech / M.S. (CS / IT / ECE) with 55% marks and 5 years relevant experience, or
• B.E. / B.Tech (CS / IT / ECE), MCA or M.Sc Computer Science (with B.Sc Computer Science) with 55% marks and 7 years experience, or
• M.Sc (CS / IT) with B.Sc in any science subject, 55% marks and 8 years experience
• Experience in an industry or university computer centre: servers, storage, backup, Linux / Unix, databases, computer networks

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science & Engineering with 55% marks
• 5 years experience in computer network administration and hardware, including large UPS systems and central AC plants, or a campus-wide computer network

• B.Sc Computer Science or BCA with 55% marks, or
• B.Sc with 55% marks and PGDCA

• ITI (Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) from NCVT / SCVT
• 2 years experience in running and maintaining AC plants, including VRV systems, of over 500 TR in a university, research body, government office, PSU or autonomous body

• 12th (Intermediate) with Science
• Certificate course in computer hardware of at least 6 months

• 10th (High School)
• ITI in Electrician / Plumber / Fitter / Welder / Wireman from NCVT / SCVT
• 1 year experience in the trade

• The same posts advertised in Advt. No. 20/2023-2024 and 06/2018-2019 are cancelled; those applicants can claim a fee refund as given in the notification.

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• System Engineer : Level 12, ₹78,800 – 2,09,200
• Maintenance Engineer (Junior) : Level 10, ₹56,100 – 1,77,500
• Computer Operator Gr.-I : Level 5, ₹29,200 – 92,300
• AC Operator : Level 3, ₹21,700 – 69,100
• Laboratory Attendant, Workshop Attendant : Level 1, ₹18,000 – 56,900
• Pay in Pay Matrix as given in the BHU notification

Application Process

1. Open the BHU recruitment portal (Samarth) from the Apply Online link below and register first, then log in.
2. Fill in every tab of the online application form for your post code (CC001 to CC006).
3. Upload a passport size photo and your signature in JPEG, each not more than 50 KB.
4. Check all entries before final submission; no change can be made after it.
5. After submission, pay the fee online through the payment gateway, if it applies to you.
6. Download the submitted form; employed candidates apply through proper channel or attach a No Objection Certificate.
7. Send the hard copy with all enclosures to the Registrar (Recruitment & Assessment Cell), Holkar House, BHU, Varanasi – 221005 before the last date.
