Exam Pattern

  • Prelims – General Studies : 150 Marks, 2 hours, objective, 1/3 negative marking, screening only
  • Mains – General Hindi : 100 Marks, qualifying (30%), not added to merit
  • Mains (CCE) – General Studies Paper I, Paper II and Essay : 300 Marks each, 3 hours each
  • Mains (CCE) – Optional Subject : 100 MCQ, 100 Marks, 2 hours, qualifying only
  • Mains (FAO) – General Studies Paper I and II + one Optional (Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics) : 300 Marks each, counted in merit
  • Mains Minimum : General 40%, BC 36.5%, EBC 34%, SC / ST / Women / PwD 32%
  • Interview : 120 Marks; Final Merit out of 1020 Marks

How to Check Result

  1. Open the BPSC website bpsc.bihar.gov.in and find the Results notices on the home page.
  2. Open “Integrated 71st Combined Main (Written) Competitive Examination – CCE”, or the “– FAO” result for Finance Administrative Officer.
  3. The PDF lists qualified roll numbers in roll number order, from left to right.
  4. Search your roll number with the Find option on your phone or computer.
  5. If qualified, keep in original every certificate uploaded with the online form; they are checked at the interview.
  6. Reservation certificates not shown in original on the interview day lose the reservation benefit; no extra time is given.
  7. Watch the BPSC website for the interview schedule, which will be published separately.
