Exam PatternStage 1: Preliminary Examination - Subject: General Studies
- Question Type: Objective / Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Exam Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 150 marks
- Selection Multiplier: Only candidates who clear the Prelims will be invited to fill a separate application for the Mains exam.

Stage 2: Main Written Examination The written exam consists of three subjects (two compulsory papers and one optional paper). Each paper has a time limit of 3 hours. Compulsory Papers - General Hindi:

- Duration: 3 hours
- Rule: It requires a mandatory passing cutoff of 30 marks but its score will not be calculated towards the final merit list.
- General Studies - Paper I:

- Duration: 3 hours
Optional Paper: Candidates must choose exactly one optional subject out of the four permitted streams. It consists of a single paper: - Subjects Available: Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics

Mains Qualifying Note: Candidates must achieve the same baseline category-wise percentages (40% for General, 36.5% for BC, 34% for EBC, and 32% for SC/ST/Women/PWD) across the written scoring sheets to remain eligible. The top scoring candidates equal to 2.5 times the total vacancies will be selected for the final interview phase.
Stage 3: Interview - Total Marks: 120 marks
- Mandatory Rule: Appearing in the interview is completely compulsory; any written exam qualifier who skips the interview will be disqualified from final merit ranking.
