Exam PatternPreliminary Examination - Total Questions: 100 Questions
- Total Marks: 100 Marks
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Section 1 (General): 40 Questions - General Knowledge & Current Affairs.
- Section 2 (Technical): 60 Questions - Questions from your chosen core diploma stream (ECE, ETC, IT, or Electrical & Electronics).
- Shortlisting: Candidates must score a minimum of 30% to qualify. Top candidates equal to 30 times the total vacancies will be selected for the Main Exam.
Main Examination The Mains phase features two distinct papers held on the same day: - Paper-I (Language Test):
- Structure: 100 Questions | 100 Marks (50 marks General Hindi + 50 marks General English).
- Duration: 1.5 Hours.
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks per incorrect answer.
- Status: Purely qualifying. Candidates must score a minimum of 30%. These marks are not added to the final merit list.
- Paper-II (Technical Core Subject):
- Structure: 100 Questions | 100 Marks (Strictly engineering diploma level questions based on your chosen stream).
- Duration: 3 Hours.
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks per incorrect answer.
- Status: The Merit Decider. Candidates equal to 5 times the total vacancies will be called for physical tests based entirely on this paper's score.
