Age Limit & Selection Process
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 23 years as on 01/08/2025 (born 02/08/2002 to 01/08/2007). Relaxation: SC / ST : 5 years, OBC : 3 years, Ex-Servicemen : 3 years after deducting military service.
- Selection Process: Height Bar Test → PET / PST → Documentation → Trade Test → Written Exam (CBE) → Medical Examination (DME / RME).

- Height (ST) : 162.5 cm
- Chest (UR / SC / OBC / EWS) : 80-85 cm (minimum expansion 5 cm)
- Chest (Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha, North East states, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh) : 78-83 cm
- Chest (ST) : 76-81 cm

Physical Efficiency Test Standards |
Male Candidates- Race : 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds
|
Female Candidates- Race : 800 metres in 4 minutes
|
- PET is qualifying. There is no appeal against the race result.
- Ex-Servicemen do not run the PET. Their height, chest and weight are recorded, and they must pass the Trade Test, Written Exam and Medical Exam.

Salary & Pay Scale Details
- Pay Level : Level 3
- Pay Scale : ₹21,700 – 69,100
- Allowances : Usual allowances admissible to Central Government employees

- Qualifying Marks : UR / EWS / Ex-Servicemen 35%, SC / ST / OBC 33%
- If the exam runs in more than one shift, marks are normalised.
- Answer Key Objection Fee : ₹100/- per question

CISF Tradesman Exam Date Notice
- Notice No. : E-32023(2)/13/Rectt/CT(Fire); it also covers Constable (Fire) and Driver & DCPO 2024.
- Admit Card : only online at cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in, not sent by post.
- Carry : admit card printout, original photo ID with date of birth, and 4 recent colour passport size photos with the date printed.
- Exam centre or date cannot be changed.
