Salary & Pay Scale Details- Classification: Group B (Non-Gazetted)
- Pay Level: Pay Level-7, Cell-1 (As per the 7th Pay Matrix)
- Regular Pay Scale: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400
- Standard Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA) at official Central Government rates.
- Medical & Travel: Reimbursement of medical expenses and Leave Travel Concession (LTC).
- Housing: Entitled type accommodation as per CSIR rules (if opted, HRA will not be admissible) and House Building Advance.
- Pension Scheme: Governed by the New Pension System (NPS).

Exam Pattern- Exam Type: No Written Examination (Direct Recruitment)
- Competition Ratio: Limited to UPSC CSE 2024 non-recommended candidates pool
Selection Process- Shortlisting: Candidates will be screened and shortlisted based on their total marks (Mains + Personality Test) in the UPSC CSE-2024. Shortlisting will tentatively follow a 1:5 ratio per category to call candidates for the next round.
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Shortlisted candidates must take an offline CPT in Delhi (tentative location).
- Final Merit List: The CPT is strictly qualifying in nature (100 marks, 1-hour duration), covering Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and PowerPoint. The final merit list and cadre allocation will be made purely on your UPSC CSE-2024 scores, provided you meet the minimum qualifying thresholds in the CPT (40% for UR, 37% for OBC/EWS, 35% for SC/ST, 30% for PwBD).
