Application Fee

  • General / OBC: ₹1000/- (For Single Paper)
  • EWS: ₹1000/- (For Single Paper)
  • SC / ST: ₹500/- (For Single Paper)
  • For Both Papers: General/OBC/EWS: ₹1200/-, SC/ST/PwD: ₹600/-
  • Pay the Exam Fee Through Online Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking Only.

Age Limit & Selection Process

  • Age Limit: There is NO minimum age limit to appear in CTET.
  • Candidates of any age who meet the educational qualifications are eligible to apply.
    This is confirmed from the official CTET notification and CBSE guidelines.
  • Selection Process: Written Examination (Paper I for Classes I-V, Paper II for Classes VI-VIII, or Both); Qualifying Marks: 60% for General, 55% for Reserved Categories.

CTET is a national level eligibility exam conducted by CBSE to decide whether a person is eligible to be appointed as a teacher in:

  • Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS)
  • Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS)
  • Central Government schools
  • Many State Government & aided schools
  • Private schools that accept CTET

CTET is not a recruitment exam. It only makes you eligible to apply for teaching jobs.

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 1-year B.Ed
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year integrated BA-B.Ed / B.Sc-B.Ed
Paper II (Elementary Stage: Classes VI-VIII)1
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
  • OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
