Application Fee

Age Limit & Selection Process

  • Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2026. Relaxation: SC / ST 5 years, OBC-NCL 3 years, PwBD 10 years (General / EWS), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC / ST), Ex-Servicemen 3 years after deducting military service.
  • Selection Process: Stage I English Typing Test (qualifying) → Stage II English Shorthand Tests → Stage III Main (Descriptive) Exam → Stage IV Interview.

Salary & Pay Scale Details

  • Senior Personal Assistant : ₹47,600 – 1,51,100 (Level 8, Group B)
  • Personal Assistant : ₹44,900 – 1,42,400 (Level 7, Group B)
  • Pay Level from the vacancy notice; rupee range from the 7th CPC pay matrix

Exam Pattern

  • Stage I English Typing Test (both posts) : 10 minutes on computer, minimum 40 words per minute, mistakes up to 3% of words typed; qualifying only
  • Shorthand marking : 4 marks cut per full mistake, 2 per half mistake; two tests, the better one counts
  • Main (Descriptive) Exam : Essay (250 words) 40, Letter 15, Grammar and Comprehension 25, Translation Hindi to English 10 and English to Hindi 10 Marks
  • Final merit : marks of Stage II, III and IV; medium of exam English

Senior Personal Assistant

  • Shorthand Test : 110 words per minute, 550 words in 5 minutes, 45 minutes to transcribe, 120 Marks, more than 27.5 mistakes disqualifies
  • Main (Descriptive) : 100 Marks, 120 Minutes, pass marks 50 General, 45 Reserved
  • Interview : 15 Marks, no minimum

Personal Assistant

  • Shorthand Test : 100 words per minute, 500 words in 5 minutes, 45 minutes to transcribe, 110 Marks, more than 25 mistakes disqualifies
  • Main (Descriptive) : 100 Marks, 120 Minutes, pass marks 45 (Reserved)
  • Interview : 15 Marks, no minimum

Exam Centers

  • Exam City : Delhi-NCR for both the SPA and PA typing tests
  • The centre address, reporting time and exam time are given on the admit card.
  • No scribe or compensatory time for PwBD candidates at any stage.

How to Check Delhi High Court SPA and PA Typing Test City

  1. Open delhihighcourt.nic.in and go to Recruitment, then Job Openings, or use the Exam City link below.
  2. SPA candidates: open the City Intimation Slip / Admit Card notice for Stage I and click the link in it.
  3. Log in with the User ID and Password of your online application; use Forgot Password if needed.
  4. Download the city intimation slip; it shows your exam city, and the exact centre comes on the admit card.
  5. Download the SPA admit card from the same login once its link is active.
  6. PA candidates: your typing test city is Delhi-NCR; download the PA admit card when it goes live.
  7. Carry the printed admit card, two photos same as in the form and one original photo ID.
