HTET Levels Details

Level-1 (PRT) Classes I-V
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks
    AND passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 45% marks
    AND passed/appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed. (old NCTE norm)
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks
    AND passed/appearing in final year of 4-year B.El.Ed.
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks
    AND passed/appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  • Graduation (any discipline)
    AND passed/appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed.
  • 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Divyang
  • Read full eligibility in official notification
Level-2 (TGT) Classes VI-VIII
  • Bachelor's Degree (at least 50%)
    AND B.Ed. (or equivalent teacher training)
  • Bachelor's Degree + D.El.Ed. (as per NCTE guidelines)
  • Bachelor's Degree with 50% + 4-year B.El.Ed. / Integrated BA-B.Ed / BSc-B.Ed.
  • Other combinations as per subject-wise norms in HTET (e.g., subject degree + B.Ed./D.El.Ed).
  • Proficiency in Hindi/Sanskrit may be required at Matric or higher level as per notification for some subjects.
  • 5% relaxation for reserved categories
  • Hindi/Sanskrit proficiency as per rules
Level-3 (PGT) Classes IX-XII
  • Postgraduate Degree in concerned subject (with at least 50% marks)
    AND B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification
  • For specific subjects (like Computer Science, Physical Education, etc.), related combinations (e.g., MCA, M.Sc. + B.Ed.) are permitted as per official norms.
  • 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Divyang
  • Subject specific qualifications required

Salary & Pay Scale Details

  • PRT Teacher: Pay Level-6 — ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
  • TGT Teacher: Pay Level-7 — ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400
  • PGT Teacher: Pay Level-8 — ₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100
  • Allowances: DA, HRA, TA, medical, pension, group insurance (state govt rules)
  • Job Security: Permanent govt employment

  • Exam Mode: Offline Pen/OMR
