Ministry of Home Affairs has declared the Intelligence Bureau (IB) MTS Tier-I Result 2026 for 362 Multi Tasking Staff vacancies on its official website. The Tier-I exam was conducted on 27 January 2026, and candidates who appeared can now download the result PDF and check their roll number in the merit list. Candidates who qualify in Tier-I will be called for the next stage of the selection process.

Salary & Pay Scale Details Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): Level-1 – ₹18,000 - ₹56,900/- (7th Pay Commission) Additional Benefits: DA, HRA (27% in X city, 18% Y, 9% Z), Medical, Travel Allowance, Pension, Group Insurance, and a Special Security Allowance (SSA) equal to 20% of basic pay. Exam Pattern Tier-I: Online Objective Test (Common for all) Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Total Marks: 100 Marks. Duration: 60 Minutes (1 Hour). Negative Marking: 0.25 marks (1/4th) deducted for every wrong answer. Subject-wise Weightage: General Awareness: 40 Questions / 40 Marks Quantitative Aptitude: 20 Questions / 20 Marks Numerical/Analytical/Logical Ability & Reasoning: 20 Questions / 20 Marks English Language: 20 Questions / 20 Marks Tier-II: Offline Descriptive Test (Qualifying Nature) Task: Translation of a passage of 500 words from the Local Language/Dialect to English and vice versa. Total Marks: 50 Marks. Duration: 60 Minutes (1 Hour). Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 20 out of 50 to pass.
