Physical Eligibility Standards |
Universal Chest Standards (All Male Posts) - Minimum (Unexpanded): 77 cm
- Expansion: Minimum 5 cm expansion required (must reach at least 82 cm).
- Tradesman Exception: For some AROs, the minimum for Tradesmen (8th/10th pass) may be slightly lower at 76 cm, but the 5 cm expansion rule still applies.
Height Standards by Region (Agniveer GD / Tech / Tradesman) - Western Plains (Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, West UP): 170 cm
- Eastern Plains (East UP, Bihar, WB, Jharkhand, Odisha): 169 cm
- Central Region (MP, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra): 168 cm
- Southern Region (AP, Karnataka, TN, Kerala, Telangana, Goa): 166 cm
- Western Himalayan (J&K, HP, Uttarakhand): 163 cm
- Eastern Himalayan (Sikkim, NE States, Hill areas of WB): 160 cm
Height Standards by Specific Post (Nationwide) - Agniveer Office Assistant / Clerk / Store Keeper: 162 cm (Uniformly applied across most regions to allow more candidates for administrative roles).
- Agniveer Women Military Police (GD): 162 cm (Required for female candidates across all states).
Relaxations & Special Categories - ST (Scheduled Tribe) Candidates: 162 cm (Height) and 77 cm (Chest).
- Sons of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen: 2 cm relaxation in Height and 1 cm in Chest.
- Outstanding Sportsmen: 2 cm relaxation in Height and 3 cm in Chest.
- Gorkhas & Ladakhis: 157 cm (Height) for specific hill-based recruitment cycles.
Weight Standards - Requirement: Must be proportionate to height and age as per the official Army Medical Standard chart.
- Example: For a 170 cm tall candidate (17-20 years old), the acceptable weight range is roughly 52.0 kg to 63.6 kg.

- Special Requirement: A mandatory English Typing Test (30 WPM) is conducted during the CEE.
