Physical Eligibility Standards

Universal Chest Standards (All Male Posts)

• Minimum (Unexpanded): 77 cm
• Expansion: Minimum 5 cm expansion required (must reach at least 82 cm).
• Tradesman Exception: For some AROs, the minimum for Tradesmen (8th/10th pass) may be slightly lower at 76 cm, but the 5 cm expansion rule still applies.

Height Standards by Region (Agniveer GD / Tech / Tradesman)

• Western Plains (Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, West UP): 170 cm
• Eastern Plains (East UP, Bihar, WB, Jharkhand, Odisha): 169 cm
• Central Region (MP, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra): 168 cm
• Southern Region (AP, Karnataka, TN, Kerala, Telangana, Goa): 166 cm
• Western Himalayan (J&K, HP, Uttarakhand): 163 cm
• Eastern Himalayan (Sikkim, NE States, Hill areas of WB): 160 cm

Height Standards by Specific Post (Nationwide)

• Agniveer Office Assistant / Clerk / Store Keeper: 162 cm (Uniformly applied across most regions to allow more candidates for administrative roles).
• Agniveer Women Military Police (GD): 162 cm (Required for female candidates across all states).

Relaxations & Special Categories

• ST (Scheduled Tribe) Candidates: 162 cm (Height) and 77 cm (Chest).
• Sons of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen: 2 cm relaxation in Height and 1 cm in Chest.
• Outstanding Sportsmen: 2 cm relaxation in Height and 3 cm in Chest.
• Gorkhas & Ladakhis: 157 cm (Height) for specific hill-based recruitment cycles.

Weight Standards

• Requirement: Must be proportionate to height and age as per the official Army Medical Standard chart.
• Example: For a 170 cm tall candidate (17-20 years old), the acceptable weight range is roughly 52.0 kg to 63.6 kg.

Physical Efficiency Test Standards

Women Military Police (GD)

• Height: Minimum 162 cm for all regions.
• 1.6 Km Run: Up to 7:30 min (Group I) | 7:31 – 8:00 min (Group II).
• Jumps: 10 Feet Long Jump and 3 Feet High Jump (Qualifying only).

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Agniveer (All Posts): Year 1: ₹30,000/- pm | Year 2: ₹35,000/- | Year 3: ₹40,000/- | Year 4: ₹45,000/- (approx increments)
• Additional Benefits: In-hand after Corpus Fund: ₹21,000 (Y1) to ₹28,000 (Y4), DA, Risk & Hardship, Ration, Clothing, Medical, Seva Nidhi Corpus (Govt contribution matches), Skill certification
• Job Security: 4 Year Tenure under Agnipath Scheme with Post-service opportunities

• Mode: Online Computer Based Test (CBT).
• Type: Objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

• Negative Marking: Yes, 25% marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

Agniveer General Duty (GD) & Tradesman

• Marking Scheme: +2 marks for correct | -0.5 marks for wrong.
• Passing Marks: 35

Agniveer Technical

• Marking Scheme: +4 marks for correct | -1.0 mark for wrong.
• Passing Marks: 80

  • Mathematics: 15 Questions (60 Marks)
  • Physics: 15 Questions (60 Marks)
  • Chemistry: 10 Questions (40 Marks)
  • General Knowledge: 10 Questions (40 Marks)

Agniveer Office Assistant (Clerk / SKT)

• Total Questions: 50
• Total Marks: 200
• Marking Scheme: +4 marks for correct | -1.0 mark for wrong.
• Passing Marks: 80 (Candidates must score at least 32 in each of the two parts).
• Special Requirement: A mandatory English Typing Test (30 WPM) is conducted during the CEE.
• Subject-wise Distribution:
  • General English: 25 Questions (100 Marks)
  • Mathematics: 10 Questions (40 Marks)
  • General Science: 5 Questions (20 Marks)
  • General Knowledge: 5 Questions (20 Marks)

• Pattern: Identical to Agniveer GD (50 Questions, 100 Marks).

• Center Allocation: As per shortlisting from CEE, region-wise rallies
