Physical Eligibility

Note: Height relaxation is available for candidates from specified regions as mentioned in the notification.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • 1.6 km Run: 6 minutes 30 seconds (Male) / 8 minutes (Female)
  • Squats: 20 (Male) / 15 (Female)
  • Push-ups: 15 (Male) / 10 (Female)
  • Bent Knee Sit-ups: 15 (Male) / 10 (Female)
  • All four tests are conducted continuously without any break.

Salary and Pay Scale Details

  • Navik (GD): Basic Pay ₹21,700, Pay Level-3 + Dearness Allowance and other applicable allowances.
  • Navik (DB): Basic Pay ₹21,700, Pay Level-3 + Dearness Allowance and other applicable allowances.
  • Yantrik: Basic Pay ₹29,200, Pay Level-5 + Yantrik Pay ₹6,200, Dearness Allowance and other applicable allowances.
  • Hygienist-I: Basic Pay ₹21,700, Pay Level-3 + Dearness Allowance and other applicable allowances.
  • Government accommodation/House Rent Allowance and other benefits are provided as per applicable rules.
  • Free ration and clothing, medical treatment, LTC, NPS/UPS and gratuity, CSD facilities and ₹75 lakh insurance cover are also mentioned in the notification.
  • Promotion prospects exist up to Pradhan Adhikari/Pradhan Shayak Engineer/Hygiene Supervisor.

Stage-I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)

  • Total Questions: 100
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Question Type: Objective Type (MCQ)
  • Language: Hindi & English
  • Duration: 1 Hour
  • Marks per Question: 1
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking
  • Passing Marks:
    • UR/EWS/OBC: 40 marks
    • SC/ST: 35 marks
  • If conducted in multiple shifts, marks will be normalized.

Stage-II: Recruitment Process

  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Qualifying
  • Assessment & Adaptability Test: Qualifying
  • Document Verification
  • Recruitment Medical Examination

Stage-III

  • Document Verification
  • Pre-Enrolment Medical Examination
  • Submission/verification of required documents

Stage-IV

  • Final verification/authentication of original educational and other documents with the concerned authorities.

Final merit is based on Stage-I marks, qualification in all required stages of Stage-II and available vacancies.

  2. Register/login on the SSC portal using your registered Email ID and Mobile Number.
  3. Select the Indian Coast Guard CGEPT 01/2027 & 02/2027 recruitment application.
  4. Select only one post and fill in the required personal, educational and category details carefully.
  5. Upload the required documents, including recent photograph, live photograph, signature, date of birth proof and identity proof.
  6. Navik (GD) male candidates must also upload a valid Domicile Certificate.
  7. Pay the ₹550 examination fee through Net Banking, Visa/Master/Maestro/Debit Card or UPI. SC/ST candidates applying under the reserved category are exempt from the fee.
  8. Submit the application before 21 October 2026, 5:30 PM.
  9. Save/print the submitted application for future reference.
