Age Limit & Selection Process

• Age Limit: Born between 01 September 2004 to 29 February 2008 (both dates inclusive)
• Age Relaxation: As per Indian Navy regulations for Agniveer scheme
• Selection Process: Shortlisting → Stage-1 (PFT + Music Screening Test + Medical) → Stage-2 (Final Music Test) → Final Medical Examination

Recruitment Details - Total Vacancies - 13 Posts

• 10th (Matriculation) with minimum 50% marks aggregate
• Proficiency in Western notation, aural aptitude, sight-reading
• Practical skill on wind instruments (Indian/Foreign origin)
• Valid music certificates (Degree/Diploma/Grade/Competition certificates)
• Certificate from recognized institute or international boards (Trinity College London, etc.)
• Unmarried Male & Female candidates only

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Monthly Package: ₹30,000/- (1st Year) increasing to ₹40,000/- (4th Year) with 10% annual increment
• In-Hand Salary: ₹21,000/- (1st Year) to ₹28,000/- (4th Year) after deductions
• Additional Benefits: Risk & Hardship Allowance, Dress Allowance, Travel Allowance, Medical Facilities
• Seva Nidhi Package: ₹10.04 Lakh (Tax-Free) after 4-year tenure completion
• Insurance Coverage: ₹48 Lakh Non-Contributory Life Insurance during service
• Career Growth: 25% Agniveers eligible for permanent enrollment as Regular Sailors (15 years)

Exam Difficulty & Competition Analysis

• Difficulty Level: High - Specialized music skills + physical fitness required
• Expected Applications: 8,000-12,000 candidates for 13 posts nationwide
• Competition Ratio: Approximately 1:600 to 1:900 (Very High Competition)
• Previous Cut-off Range: 70-85% marks for general category in music screening
• Preparation Time: 6-8 months recommended (Music practice + Physical fitness)
• Success Rate: Less than 0.2% selection rate - Requires exceptional musical talent and physical fitness

Exam Center Details

• Pan India: Stage-1 examinations will be conducted at Indian Navy centers across India
• Major Naval Centers: Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Chennai, Kolkata, Goa
• Regional Centers: As allocated by Indian Navy based on applications
• Music Test Centers: Only at designated Naval establishments with music facilities
• Final center allocation will be mentioned in the call-up letter for Stage-1
