Age Limit & Selection Process

Salary & Pay Scale Details
- Training (1 year) : Stipend ₹34,200 per month, plus HRA on ₹22,000 if no company accommodation
- After training : Tradesman, W-3 Grade, Pay Scale ₹22,000 – 88,000
- Allowances : Industrial DA, HRA, PF, Gratuity, Pension as per IREL rules
- CTC (W-3 Grade, per the notice) : ₹6.5 lakh a year (HRA 20%, Y class city)
- Posting : the unit chosen in the form · Transferable anywhere in India

Exam Pattern
- Computer Based Test : 2 hours, one sitting, questions in Hindi and English
- Section I, Professional Knowledge of the trade : 100 Questions, 100 Marks
- Section II, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability and English : 50 Questions, 50 Marks
- Negative Marking : None
- Qualifying Marks in each section : UR / EWS 50%, SC / ST / OBC (NCL) 45%
- Skill Test : qualifying only; candidates called in the ratio 1:5; final merit on CBT marks

Application Process
- Open the Apply Online link below, register with personal and contact details, and verify mobile and email with separate OTPs.
- Log in with the Application Sequence Number (User ID) and password sent by email and SMS, then click “Go To Application”.
- Choose one trade and one unit, and two exam centres in order of preference; these cannot be changed later.
- Fill in qualification and experience details, and upload your category or Ex-Servicemen certificate if you claim one.
- Upload a white-background photo (100-200 KB, 3.5 x 4.5 cm) and a black-ink signature (80-150 KB) in JPG.
- Check the Preview and submit, then pay the fee online; the form cannot be edited after submission.
- Print the application form and payment slip before the last date; nothing is sent to IREL by post.
