Salary and Pay Scale Details

  • Post: Head Constable (Motor Mechanic)
  • Pay Level: Level-4 in the Pay Matrix
  • Pay Scale: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 as per 7th CPC
  • Pension: Candidates can opt for NPS or UPS as per applicable rules.

  • Allowances: DA, Ration Money Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance, Free Accommodation/HRA, Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession and Free Medical Facilities.

Exam Pattern

  • Exam Type: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Exam Mode: CBT or OMR, as decided by ITBPF
  • General Knowledge: 10 Questions, 10 Marks
  • Mathematics: 10 Questions, 10 Marks
  • Hindi or English: 20 Questions, 20 Marks
  • Trade Related Theory: 60 Questions, 60 Marks
  • General Knowledge, Mathematics and Trade Related Theory questions will be bilingual.
  • Candidates can attempt 20 questions in either Hindi or English.
  • Questions will be of 12th standard.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: Gen/EWS/Ex-servicemen 35%, SC/OBC (NCL) 33%.

  • UR/OBC/EWS male candidates have to pay ₹100 through the online payment gateway. SC and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted.
  • Candidates working in Central/State Government, Autonomous/Statutory Bodies or PSUs must furnish the required No Objection Certificate at the time of document verification.
