The Indian Navy has released the official notification for the Indian Navy SSC Executive IT Recruitment 2026. Through this recruitment drive, the Indian Navy will fill 15 vacancies in the SSC Executive Information Technology branch for the January 2027 course. Eligible unmarried male and female candidates can apply online from May 16, 2026, to June 1, 2026. The eligible age criteria require candidates to be born between January 1, 2002, and July 1, 2007.

Salary & Pay Scale Details Sub Lieutenant (Entry Level Rank): Level 10 - ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500/- (7th Pay Commission) Additional Benefits: DA (Currently 60% as of Jan 2026), Military Service Pay (MSP - ₹15,500/- pm), HRA/House Rent Leased Accommodation, Free Medical Facilities, Travel Allowance, Group Insurance, and Canteen (CSD) facilities. Job Security: Short Service Commission tenure initially for 10 years, extendable up to 14 years (4 years extension) based on performance, service requirements, and medical fitness. Career Growth: Time-bound promotions from Sub Lieutenant to Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, and Commander based on completion of mandatory sea time, medical fitness, and passing promotional examinations.
Selection Pattern (No Written Exam) The Navy does not conduct a written test for this entry. The selection follows these exact list points: Application Shortlisting: Initial screening is based entirely on the normalized aggregate marks scored by candidates in their qualifying degree (B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc.). SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a 5-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview evaluating psychological tests, group tasks, and personal intelligence. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB undergo a strict medical assessment by a military medical board. Final Merit List: Prepared purely on the basis of marks obtained during the SSB Interview, subject to qualifying the medical stage and vacancy limits.
