Apprenticeship Details
- Training Duration: 12 months for all trades
- Engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961
- ITI certificate must be from an ITI recognised by the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) or NCVT
- For Electrician trade, a Wireman trade certificate is not accepted
- Apply for one trade at one work centre only
- You must not have passed the qualifying examination more than 3 years before 29/11/2026
- Candidates who have already done or are doing apprenticeship training are not eligible
- Candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after the qualification are not eligible as Technician Apprentice
- Apprenticeship does not give any right to a regular job in ONGC

Salary and Pay Scale Details
- Apprentices get a monthly stipend under the Apprentices Act, not a regular pay scale
- Graduate Apprentice (B.A / B.Com / B.Sc / BBA / B.E. / B.Tech): ₹12,300 per month
- Three-year Engineering Diploma: ₹10,900 per month
- Trade Apprentice, 10th / 12th: ₹8,200 per month
- Trade Apprentice, one-year ITI: ₹9,600 per month
- Trade Apprentice, two-year ITI: ₹10,560 per month
- No TA, DA, boarding or lodging is paid during training

How to Apply
- Read the notification and check your qualification, age, and that your district is eligible for the work centre you want (see the table above).
- Choose one trade at one work centre and note its scheme: NAPS or NATS.
- For NAPS trades, register and apply on the Apprenticeship India portal. For NATS trades, register and apply on the NATS portal.
- Fill in your personal and education details correctly and apply for the ONGC opening.
- Submit the application before 20/11/2026.
- Check your registered email and the ONGC Apprentice website for the result and document verification schedule.
