Age Limit & Selection Process

• Selection Process: Computer Based Test (CBT) → Scrutiny of Applications → Document Verification → Medical Exam. No interview; merit on CBT marks only.

• B.Sc (Hons) Nursing, B.Sc Nursing (regular course) or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from a recognised University or Institute, and registered as Nurse or Nurse & Midwife (RN or RN & RM) with a State Nursing Council, or
• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognised Board or Council, registered as Nurse or Nurse & Midwife with a State Nursing Council, and 1 year experience in a hospital of at least 50 beds after GNM
• Category Wise : UR 99, SC 36, ST 18, OBC 66, EWS 24 (PwBD 10 out of the total)

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Pay Level : Level 7 (7th CPC Pay Matrix), Group B
• Pay Scale : ₹44,900 – 1,42,400, as given in the PGIMER notice
• Post Type : Regular, Direct Recruitment, at PGIMER, Chandigarh

Exam Pattern

• CBT : 100 MCQs, 100 Marks, 100 minutes, English only
• Marking : 1 mark per correct answer, 0.25 mark deducted per wrong answer
• Syllabus : topics of the prescribed nursing qualification (B.Sc Nursing / GNM course)
• Minimum Qualifying Marks : General / EWS 40%, SC / ST / OBC 35% (40% for all on UR posts)
• Shortlisting for document check : 3 candidates per post (plus ties)

How to Download PGIMER Nursing Officer Admit Card

1. Open pgimer.edu.in and go to the forthcoming examinations notices, or use the Download Admit Card link below.
2. Open the notice “ADMIT CARD (Nursing Officer)” and click “Click here for Admit Card”.
3. Log in on the application portal with the same User ID and Password used for the online form.
4. Download the admit card and take a printout; it is not sent by post.
5. Check your roll number, exam centre, exam timing and gate closing time on the admit card.
6. Carry the admit card to the centre; entry to the exam hall is allowed only with it.
7. Leave your mobile phone, watch, wallet, jewellery, water bottle and any electronic device outside; they are not allowed in.
