• Full time B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg.) in Computer Science / Computer Engg. / Information Technology

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Training (1 year) : ₹40,000 – 1,40,000 (IDA), basic ₹40,000 + IDA, HRA, Perks 12%
• After Training : Engineer, E2 scale, ₹50,000 – 1,60,000 (IDA)
• CTC : ₹11.00 Lakh a year in training, ₹22.50 Lakh after training
• Allowances : DA, Perks, Performance Related Pay, HRA
• Bond : ₹5,00,000 (SC / ST / PwBD ₹2,50,000), 3 years after training · Posting : anywhere in India or abroad

Exam Pattern

• GATE 2026 Marks (out of 100, same paper) : 85% weightage
• Group Discussion : 3% weightage (no qualifying marks)
• Personal Interview : 12% weightage; qualifying UR / EWS 40%, OBC (NCL) / SC / ST / PwBD 30%
• Psychometric Assessment may be held for shortlisted candidates as an input to the interview.
• GD and Interview can be taken in Hindi or English.

Application Process

1. Register online on the POWERGRID website (Careers, Job Opportunities) with your GATE 2026 Registration Number and Application Number.
2. Enter your name and details exactly as on your GATE 2026 admit card; date of birth as in your matric certificate.
3. Enter qualification details with the date of passing; final year students enter marks up to the pre-final exam.
4. Upload colour photo (JPG, up to 50 KB), signature (JPG, up to 30 KB) and certificates in PDF.
5. Click Submit to get your POWERGRID Registration Number; GATE number and name cannot be changed after submission.
6. Pay the fee online from your candidate login before the last date; forms without fee or left in draft are rejected.
7. Take a printout and keep your GATE 2026 admit card and score card for the GD and interview.
