Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Monthly Stipend (Freshers - 10th Pass): ₹6,000/- per month for 2 years training
• Monthly Stipend (Freshers - 12th Pass): ₹7,000/- per month for 2 years training
• Monthly Stipend (Ex-ITI): ₹7,000/- per month for 1 year training
• Stipend Increment: 10% increase in second year for applicable categories
• Additional Benefits: Training facilities, Medical examination, Workshop training
• Certificate: National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) upon successful completion
• Important: This is apprenticeship training, NOT employment guarantee

Selection Process & Competition Analysis

• Selection Method: Merit List based on 10th Class marks
• For COVID batch: 9th class or 10th half-yearly marks accepted if signed by Principal
• Tie-breaking: Older candidate preferred; if same DOB, then earlier 10th pass date
• Expected Applications: 50,000-80,000 candidates for 1000 posts
• Competition Ratio: Approximately 1:50 to 1:80 (Very High Competition)
• Minimum Eligibility: 50% marks in 10th for all trades
• Trade Allotment: Based on merit and preference; no change allowed once allotted

Training Center Details & Important Conditions

• Training Location: Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Perambur, Chennai - 600038
• Eligibility Restriction: Only Tamil Nadu residents/Employment Exchange registered candidates eligible
• Higher Qualification Bar: Degree/Diploma holders NOT eligible (except MLT - 12th/HSC required)
• Training Contract: Must execute apprenticeship contract; minors need guardian signature
• Medical Fitness: Government authorized doctor certificate required at document verification
• Accommodation: Candidates must arrange own accommodation; ICF provides no food/lodging
• Important: NO employment guarantee after completion of training
