• 3 years Diploma in Engineering in relevant discipline from recognized University
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Science with Physics & Chemistry (45% marks minimum)
• Knowledge of computer applications essential

• OR B.Sc with Physics & Chemistry (45% marks)
• Experience in materials management preferred

• 3 years Diploma in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering
• OR B.Sc with Chemistry/Physics (45% marks)
• Knowledge of chemical/metallurgical processes

• 3 years Diploma in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering
• OR Degree in Engineering in relevant discipline
• Research experience in chemical/metallurgical field preferred

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Pay Scale: Level 6 - ₹35,400 - 1,12,400/- (7th Pay Commission)
• Grade Pay: ₹4,200/- (as per previous pay commission)
• In-Hand Salary: ₹42,000 - 52,000/- per month (including allowances)
• During Training: ₹35,400/- basic pay
• After Training: ₹36,500/- basic pay + allowances
• Additional Benefits: DA (50%+), HRA (24%/16%/8% as per city), TA, Medical, Pension
• Career Growth: JE → Assistant Engineer → Divisional Engineer → Senior Divisional Engineer

• Difficulty Level: High - Technical engineering knowledge + General awareness required
• Total Applications Received: Approximately 25-30 lakh candidates for 7951 posts
• Competition Ratio: Approximately 1:350 to 1:400 (Very High Competition)
• CBT-1 Cut-off Range: 45-65% marks for general category (varies by region)
• CBT-2 Cut-off Range: 65-80% marks for general category (technical subjects)
