The South East Central Railway Nagpur has released the official notification for the SECR Nagpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 1,079 Act Apprentice vacancies have been announced. Candidates applying for the apprenticeship must have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks and possess an ITI certificate. The online application process has started from May 19, 2026, and candidates can apply until June 18, 2026.

Career Growth: Completing this 1-year apprentice program gives candidates direct advantages in permanent Railway recruitments: 20% Quota: 20% of total permanent vacancies in RRC Level-1 (Group D) posts (Trackman, Helper, Pointsman) are entirely reserved for course-completed apprentices. 1/3rd Marks Weightage: 1/3rd of the final marks in the RRC Group D permanent exam are calculated directly from the candidate's NCVT apprentice exam score. PET Exemption: Exempted from clearing the grueling Physical Efficiency Test (running with heavy weights) during permanent job screening. Skill Certificate: Awarded the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC), highly valued in PSU and private heavy engineering companies.
Exam Pattern Exam Type: No Written Exam - Merit Based Selection Total Questions: Not Applicable Duration: Not Applicable Negative Marking: Not Applicable Selection is purely merit-based, calculating the exact 50:50 weightage average of your Class 10 marks and your ITI trade score. Tie-Breaker Rule: If two scores match identically, the older applicant gets the priority rank. If the age matches too, the candidate who cleared their matriculation exam earlier takes the seat.
