Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Pay Scale: Level 10 - ₹33,800 - 1,06,700/- (7th Pay Commission)
• Grade Pay: ₹3,600/- (as per previous pay commission)
• Basic Salary Range: ₹9,300 - 34,800 (Old Scale equivalent)
• Probation Period: Fixed remuneration of ₹23,700/- per month for 2 years
• Additional Benefits: DA, HRA, Medical, Travel Allowance, Pension Fund
• In-Hand Salary: Approximately ₹30,000 - 50,000/- per month (after probation)
• Career Growth: Promotion to Senior Librarian and Administrative positions

Exam Difficulty & Competition Analysis

• Difficulty Level: High - Specialized Library Science knowledge required
• Expected Applications: 80,000-1,20,000 candidates for 548 posts
• Competition Ratio: Approximately 1:150 to 1:220 (Very High Competition)
• Previous Cut-off Range: 60-75% marks for general category
• Exam Pattern: 200 questions for 400 marks with negative marking (1/3rd)
• Preparation Time: 4-6 months recommended for thorough preparation
• Success Rate: Less than 0.7% selection rate - Requires intensive preparation in Library Science
