Age Limit & Selection Process

• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years (as on 01/07/2024)
• Selection Process: Computer Based Test (CBT) + Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) + Document Verification (DV) + Medical Examination

Vacancy Details - Total 4208

• Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 10% of the total vacancies (approx. 420 posts) were reserved for Ex-Servicemen across all categories.
• Female Candidates: 15% of the total vacancies were strictly reserved for women. If suitable female candidates were not found, those vacancies were filled by suitable male candidates as per the final merit list guidelines.

Physical Efficiency Test Standards

• Running Attempt: You get only one chance for the running event (1600m or 800m). If you fail to meet the time, you are disqualified immediately.
• Jumping Attempts: For the Long Jump and High Jump, you are allowed a maximum of two chances each.
• Qualifying Nature: No marks are awarded for PET; you simply need to pass (Qualify/Fail). However, failing any single event leads to disqualification from the entire recruitment process.
• Ex-Servicemen: They are exempted from the PET but must still undergo the Physical Measurement Test (PMT).

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Constable (Executive): Level 3 - ₹21,700 - ₹69,100/- (7th Pay Commission)
• Additional Benefits: DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance): 10% to 30% based on city classification (X Cities: 30%, Y Cities: 20%, Z Cities: 10%), Transport Allowance (TA), Ration Allowance, Night Duty Allowance, and Kit Maintenance Allowance.

• Duration: 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes).
• Marking Scheme: +1 mark for every correct answer.
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for every incorrect answer.
• Difficulty Level: Matriculation (Class 10) standard.
• Languages: Available in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.
