Salary & Pay Scale Details- RAS Officer (State Service): Level 14 - ₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500/- (7th Pay Commission)
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹56,100/- per month (Post-Probation)
- Probation Period Pay: Fixed remuneration of ₹35,370/- net per month during the mandatory 2-year training/probation period (No allowances are applicable during probation).
- Additional Benefits: DA (Currently 60% of Basic Pay), HRA (20% in Y-Class Cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer; 10% in Z-Class Cities), Medical Allowance, Travel Allowance (TA) or official vehicle with driver, Pension under National Pension System (NPS), Group Insurance (GIS).

Exam PatternStage 1: Preliminary Examination (Qualifying Screening) - Exam Nature: Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Number of Papers: 1 Paper (General Knowledge & General Science).
- Total Questions: 150 MCQs.
- Maximum Marks: 200 Marks.
- Exam Duration: 3 Hours.
- Negative Marking: Strict 1/3rd mark deduction for every incorrect answer.
- Mandatory 5th Option Rule: OMR sheets contain 5 choices. If a candidate leaves a question blank, they must fill the 5th circle to avoid a 1/3 negative marking penalty.
Stage 2: Mains Examination (Written Descriptive) - Exam Nature: Descriptive and analytical pen-paper test.
- Number of Compulsory Papers: 4 Papers (200 Marks each = 800 Total Marks).
- Time Allowed: 3 Hours per paper.
- Paper-Wise Distribution:
- Paper I (General Studies I): 200 Marks | Focuses on History (Rajasthan, India, World), Economics, Sociology, Management, Accounting & Auditing.
- Paper II (General Studies II): 200 Marks | Focuses on Administrative Ethics, General Science & Technology, Earth Science/Geography.

- Minimum Pass Rules: Candidates must score at least 10% marks in each paper and 15% marks in aggregate to qualify for the next stage (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates).
Stage 3: Personality Test / Interview - Maximum Marks: 100 Marks.
