Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Sub Inspector / Platoon Commander: Level 11 – ₹37,800 - ₹1,19,700/- (7th Pay Commission)
• Probation Period: 2 Years (Fixed stipend of approx. ₹26,500/- per month)
• Additional Benefits: DA, HRA, Medical (RGHS), Travel Allowance, Pension (NPS), Group Insurance

Exam Pattern

• Total Papers: 2 Compulsory Papers (Bilingual: Hindi & English, except for the Hindi paper).
• Mode of Exam: Offline (OMR Sheet based).
• Paper I: General Hindi
  • Total Questions: 100 Objective MCQs.
  • Total Marks: 200 Marks (2 marks per question).
  • Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
• Paper II: General Knowledge & General Science
  • Total Questions: 100 Objective MCQs.
  • Total Marks: 200 Marks (2 marks per question).
  • Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
• Negative Marking: 1/3rd (0.66 marks) will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
  • Per Paper: 36%.
  • Aggregate (Total): 40%.
  • Note: SC/ST candidates receive a 5-mark relaxation in these percentages.

New Mandatory OMR Rule for 2026

• RPSC has introduced a 5th Option (Circle E) for this exam cycle:
• Usage: If you do not want to attempt a question, you must darken the 5th circle (Option E).
• Penalty: If you leave a question completely blank (no circle darkened), 1/3rd marks will be deducted.
• Disqualification: If more than 10% of questions (over 10 questions) are left without any circle darkened, the candidate will be disqualified.
• Extra Time: An additional 10 minutes is provided at the end of the exam specifically to ensure all 5th options are filled.

Next Stages of Selection

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 100 Marks (Qualifying nature; minimum 50% required).
• Aptitude Test: 50 Marks (Focuses on personality and Rajasthani culture).
• Medical Exam: Final verification of physical fitness and vision.

Exam Centers

• Rajasthan: Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Sikar, Udaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara & Other Districts
• Center Allocation: Allocated via Exam City Intimation Slip on SSO Portal
• Candidates must download City Slip using SSO ID from rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in or sso.rajasthan.gov.in
