Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Level-2 Posts (Clerks/Typists): ₹19,900 - ₹63,200/- (7th Pay Commission)
• Level-3 Posts (Ticket Clerk): ₹21,700 - ₹69,100/- (7th Pay Commission)
• Additional Benefits: DA, HRA (27% in X City, 18% in Y, 9% in Z), Medical Facilities for self & family, Travel Allowance (TA), Pension (NPS), Group Insurance, and Railway Passes/PTOs.

Stage 1: CBT-1 (Screening Test)

• Duration: 90 Minutes

  • General Awareness: 40 Questions
  • Mathematics: 30 Questions
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 Questions

Stage 2: CBT-2 (Merit Determining Test)

• Total Questions: 120
• Total Marks: 120
• Duration: 90 Minutes
• Subjects:
  • General Awareness: 50 Questions
  • Mathematics: 35 Questions
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 35 Questions

Important Exam Rules (Common for both CBTs)

• Negative Marking: 1/3rd (0.33 marks) will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
• Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Normalization: Since exams are held in multiple shifts, marks will be normalized to ensure fairness across different difficulty levels.
• Language: Available in 15 regional languages including Hindi and English.

Physical & Skill Test Requirements

• Typing Skill Test (TST): Mandatory for Junior Clerk cum Typist and Accounts Clerk cum Typist.
• Speed: 30 WPM (English) or 25 WPM (Hindi).
• Medical Standards: Most UG posts require A-3, B-2, or C-2 medical standards (specifically for eyesight and general fitness).

Exam Centers

• All Major States: Major cities across India allocated by RRB
• Center Allocation: Based on candidate preference and availability
• Candidates must carry Admit Card, Photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport etc.), and report as per shift timings
