Exam Pattern- Exam Type: Computer Based Test (CBT) - Online
- Total Questions: 100 Objective Type Questions (100 Marks)
- Total Duration: 90 - 120 Minutes (varies by official shift rules)
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
Subject-wise Distribution: - Analytical & Mathematical Capability: 60 Questions
- Logical Capability: 20 Questions
- Mental Reasoning: 20 Questions
- Duration: 120 Minutes
Selection Process Weightage Unlike many other RRB exams, the final merit for Section Controller is a composite score: - Stage 1 (CBT): 70% weightage.
- Stage 2 (CBAT - Aptitude Test): 30% weightage.
- Note: You must score a minimum T-score of 42 in each test battery of the CBAT to qualify. There is no negative marking in the CBAT.
Medical Standard: A-2 (Strict) - General Fitness: Physically fit in all respects.
- Visual Standards: Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (No fogging test allowed). Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses.
- Mandatory Tests: Must pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision, and Mesopic Vision.
- Lasik Alert: Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery or any corrective eye surgery are not eligible for this post.
