Stipend & Benefits Details- Act Apprentice: Stipend as per Railway Board norms (Approx. ₹7000 - ₹10000/- per month during training), If the training extends beyond one year, there is usually a 10% increase in the second year and 15% in the third year (though WR training is typically 12 months).
- Additional Benefits: NCVT Certification, Skill Development, Employment Prospects in Railways & PSUs.
- 20% Reservation in Group D: You get a dedicated 20% quota in permanent Railway Level-1 (Group D) recruitments.
- Exemption from PET: Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA) are generally exempted from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (the running and weight-lifting rounds) during Group D recruitment.
- Weightage in Final Merit: You receive 1/3rd weightage of your apprentice marks in the final merit list of RRB Group D exams.
- Age Relaxation: You typically get an age relaxation equal to the period of apprenticeship training you completed.
- Leave Policy: You are entitled to 12 days of Casual Leave and 15 days of Medical Leave during the training year.
- Medical Facility: Free medical treatment is provided only for injuries sustained during training accidents within the workshop.
- Job Security: 1 Year Apprenticeship Training with Certificate.

- Merit Calculation: Average of (10th % + ITI %). Example: (80% + 90%) / 2 = 85% Merit Score.
