The State Bank of India has released the official notification for the SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Through this recruitment drive, SBI will fill 7,150 Apprentice posts across different states in India. Candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline and are between 20 and 28 years of age are eligible to apply for the apprenticeship program. The online application process has started from May 19, 2026, and candidates can submit their forms until June 8, 2026.

Salary & Pay Scale Details Apprentice (Training Period): 1-Year Fixed Term - ₹15,000/- per month Additional Benefits: No other allowances, DA, HRA, or bonuses are applicable as this is a training program rather than regular employment. Job Security: Strictly a 1-Year Training Program under the Apprenticeship Act; it does not constitute an offer of permanent employment or absorption in SBI. Career Growth: Completion provides an official SBI Apprenticeship Certificate, weightage/relaxation points in future regular SBI recruitment cycles (like SBI Clerk), and valuable corporate banking operational experience
Exam Pattern Stage 1: Online Written Test Objective-type examination consisting of 100 Questions totaling 100 Marks. The exam duration is 1 Hour (60 minutes), with separate sectional timings of 15 minutes each. Negative marking is applied at a rate of 1/4th (0.25) mark deduction for every wrong response. Exemption: Candidates who can produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheets/certificates proving they studied the specified local language as a subject are exempt from this language test.
