Age Limit & Selection Process

  • Age Limit: Minimum 25 years and Maximum 40 years as on 31/10/2026. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
  • Selection Process: Online Written Test → Personal Interview → Merit List.
  • Interview: 100 marks. Qualifying marks are decided by the Bank.
  • Final Merit: Professional Knowledge marks and Interview marks are converted to 70 : 30 (total 100). Category wise merit list.
  • Medical Fitness: Only applicants in SHAPE-1 or an equivalent medical category on the date of the advertisement can apply.

  • Manager (Security) : Grade MMGS-III, Pay Scale ₹85920-2680/5-99320-2980/2-105820 (Basic Pay ₹85,920 – 1,05,820)
  • Deputy Manager (Security) : Grade MMGS-II, Pay Scale ₹64820-2340/1-67160-2680/10-93960 (Basic Pay ₹64,820 – 93,960)
  • Allowances : DA, HRA, CCA, Provident Fund, NPS, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Facility and other perks as per Bank rules.
  • Probation : 6 months

Exam Pattern

  • Exam Mode : Online, objective type
  • Total Questions : 200, Total Marks : 200, Duration : 2 hours
  • Negative Marking : No
  • Reasoning, English and General Awareness are qualifying only. Merit is made on Professional Knowledge marks and the Interview.

Qualifying Papers

  • Reasoning Ability : 50 Questions, 25 Marks, 30 minutes
  • English Language : 50 Questions, 50 Marks, 30 minutes
  • General Awareness : 50 Questions, 25 Marks, 25 minutes

Merit Paper

  • Professional Knowledge : 50 Questions, 100 Marks, 35 minutes
  • Syllabus : Security principles and management, risk assessment, security hardware, fire safety, CCTV, manpower, executive protection, disaster management, information and IT security, liaison, security in banks, administration

  • No request for change of exam centre, date or session is accepted.

Application Process

  1. Open the SBI careers page sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings.
  2. Find Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/28 and download the advertisement.
  3. Click Apply Online and register with a valid email ID and mobile number.
  4. Fill in the form and upload your photo, signature, left-hand thumb impression and hand-written declaration.
  5. Upload the documents in PDF: resume, ID proof, date of birth proof, caste certificate, degree, service or experience certificate, discharge book or latest medical board document, Form-16 or salary slip, and NOC if applicable.
  6. Pay the fee online and submit the form.
  7. Print the application form and the fee e-receipt.
  • Photo : 20 – 50 KB, 200 x 230 pixels. Signature : 10 – 20 KB, 140 x 60 pixels.
  • Hand-written declaration : 50 – 100 KB, 800 x 400 pixels, in English, not in capital letters.
  • Each PDF document : up to 500 KB, A4 size.
  • Do not send a hard copy of the form to the Bank. Call letters come by email or on the SBI website.
