Age Limit & Selection Process

• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years as on the last date of application.
• Age Relaxation: SC / ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, Ex-Servicemen 3 years after deducting military service. Central Government employees with 3 years service: up to 40 years (General), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC / ST).
• Selection Process: PET → PST → Written Exam (CBT) → Skill / Typing Test → Documentation and Detailed Medical Exam (DME) → Review Medical Exam (RME).
• Final Merit: Made on the marks of the written exam (CBT). The typing test is qualifying.
• Equal Marks: The older candidate ranks higher. If the date of birth is also the same, names are ranked in alphabetical order.

Vacancy Details – Total Posts – 115

• Intermediate or Senior Secondary (10+2) pass from a recognised Board or University.
• Typing on computer : English 35 words per minute or Hindi 30 words per minute.
• Category Wise : UR 47, EWS 11, OBC 26, SC 21, ST 10.
• 10% posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
• Open to citizens of India and subjects of Nepal and Bhutan (Male and Female).

Physical Eligibility Standards

Male Candidates

• Height (General) : 165 cm
• Height (Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha, North East states, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Ladakh) : 162.5 cm
• Height (ST) : 162.5 cm
• Chest : Minimum 77 cm (ST 76 cm), expansion 5 cm

Female Candidates

• Height (General) : 155 cm
• Height (Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha, North East states, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, Ladakh) : 150 cm
• Height (ST) : 150 cm
• Chest : Not applicable

Physical Efficiency Test Standards

Male Candidates

• Race : 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds

Female Candidates

• Race : 800 metres in 4 minutes

• Ex-Servicemen do not take the PET. They appear in the PST and later stages.

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Pay Level : Level 4, Group C Non-Gazetted Ministerial (Combatised)
• Pay Scale : ₹25,500 – 81,100 per month
• Allowances : Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, Washing Allowance and other allowances admissible in SSB.
• Pension : New Pension Scheme (NPS).

Exam Pattern

• Written Exam : One paper (Common Entrance Test), Computer Based Test
• Total Questions : 100 objective questions, 100 marks
• Duration : 2 hours
• Subjects : General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, General English / General Hindi

Written Exam Qualifying Marks

• General / EWS / OBC / Ex-Servicemen : 50%
• SC / ST : 45%

Skill / Typing Test

• English : 35 words per minute (10500 KDPH)
• Hindi : 30 words per minute (9000 KDPH)
• Called : Up to 15 times the category wise vacancies, on CBT marks
• Mode : Paper to screen, on computer
• Time : 10 minutes to type the passage
• Language : English, or Hindi in Mangal or Kruti Dev font
• Mistakes Allowed : Up to 5% of total typed words
• Backspace and Delete keys are enabled.

Exam Centers

• Skill / Typing Test Centres : Recruit Training Centre SSB Alwar, 25th Bn SSB Ghitorni (New Delhi), SSB Academy Bhopal, Recruit Training Centre SSB Supaul, SHQ SSB Gorakhpur (UP).
• Test Start Dates : 16/11/2026 and 18/11/2026, as per the notice dated 30/10/2026.
• Your test centre, date and reporting time are printed on your admit card, released on 03/11/2026.

CBT Result – 1725 Shortlisted for Typing Test

• Result Notice : No. 570/RC/SSB/Result of Written Exam(CBT)/HC(Min.)-20/26 dated 02/11/2026
• Candidates up to 15 times the category wise vacancies are shortlisted in order of CBT marks.
• Names are listed in Annexure A (UR), B (EWS), C (OBC), D (SC) and E (ST) of the result PDF.
• Candidates who qualify the CBT but are not in this list are not called for the typing test.

How to Check Result

1. Open the SSB recruitment website recruitment.ssb.gov.in.
2. Click “Notice & Circulars”.
3. Find the notice dated 02/11/2026: List of Candidates declared qualified in written examination (CBT) and Shortlisted for Typing / Skill Test for the post of HC (Min)-2020.
4. Click “PDF Download” and open the annexure for your category.
5. Search your roll number and name.
6. If your name is in the list, download the typing test admit card with your Registration ID and Password.

• Next Stage : After the typing test, candidates up to 3 times the category wise vacancies are called for Documentation and Detailed Medical Exam.
• Take the admit card printout and the original documents to the test centre.
