Important Medical Standards

  • Eyesight: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) without any correction (no glasses or surgery like LASIK allowed).
  • General Health: Candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose veins, or a squint in the eyes.
  • Driving License: Male candidates applying for Delhi Police SI must possess a valid LMV (Motorcycle and Car) Driving License during the PET/PST stage.

Salary & Pay Scale Details

  • Sub Inspector SI: Level 6 – ₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400/- (7th Pay Commission)

  • Total Duration: 120 Minutes (2 Hours)
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 Questions (50 Marks) — 30 Minutes
  • General Knowledge & Awareness: 50 Questions (50 Marks) — 30 Minutes
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions (50 Marks) — 30 Minutes
  • English Comprehension: 50 Questions (50 Marks) — 30 Minutes

  • Subject: English Language & Comprehension
  • Total Questions: 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Total Marks: 200 Marks (+1 per correct answer)
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks (1/4th) for each wrong answer
  • Total Duration: 120 Minutes (2 Hours)
  • Language: The paper is conducted entirely in English.

Important Rules for 2026

  • Sectional Timing: Unlike previous years, you cannot switch between sections in Paper 1 at will. You must wait for the 30-minute timer to end for one section before the next one unlocks.
  • Bilingual Option: Paper 1 (except the English section) is available in both Hindi and English.
  • NCC Bonus Marks:
    • NCC 'C' Certificate: +10 marks (Added to both Paper 1 & 2)
    • NCC 'B' Certificate: +6 marks
    • NCC 'A' Certificate: +4 marks
  • Final Merit: Your final rank is calculated by adding the marks of Paper 1 + Paper 2 (Total 400 marks). Physical tests are qualifying only.
