- Subject Focus: 100% technical questions from your chosen engineering stream (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical).
- Aids Allowed: You are permitted to use a Calculator, Slide-rule, Logarithm table, and Steam table for this paper only.
- Normalization: Since the exam is held in multiple shifts, SSC uses a normalization formula to calculate final scores.
- Language: The paper is available in both Hindi and English (bilingual).
- Selection: Paper 1 acts as a screening test to shortlist candidates for Paper 2. The final merit list is prepared based on the combined performance in both papers.+1
