Age Limit & Selection Process
- Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 42 years as on 01/07/2026 (born between 02/07/1984 and 01/07/2005). Relaxation for Uttarakhand candidates : SC / ST / OBC 5 years, Dependants of Freedom Fighters 5 years, PwBD 10 years; Ex-Servicemen as per rules.
- Selection Process: Preliminary Exam (Objective) → Main Written Exam (Descriptive) → Document Verification → Interview.

Salary & Pay Scale Details
- Naib Tehsildar, Excise Inspector : Level 7, ₹44,900 – 1,42,400
- Supply Inspector, Marketing Inspector, Labour Enforcement Officer, Tax Officer, Senior Cane Development Inspector : Level 6, ₹35,400 – 1,12,400
- Cane Development Inspector : Level 5, ₹29,200 – 92,300
- All posts : Group C, non-gazetted, with contributory pension (pay scales as given in the UKPSC notification)

Exam Pattern
- Preliminary Exam – General Studies and General Aptitude Test (objective) : 150 Questions, 150 Marks, 2 hours (General Studies 100, General Aptitude 50)
- Negative marking : 1/4 of the question’s marks for each wrong answer
- Main Exam Paper I – General Hindi : 100 Marks, 2 hours (minimum 35% needed)
- Main Exam Paper II – Essay : 100 Marks, 2 hours
- Main Exam Paper III and IV – General Studies I and II : 200 Marks each, 3 hours each
- Interview : 75 Marks. Preliminary marks are not added to the final merit.

Application Process
- Read the advertisement on psc.uk.gov.in, then open pscuk.net.in and click How to Apply in the menu bar.
- Click Apply Now against Advt. No. A-1/E-2/DR/LSS/2026-27 and fill the Registration form with a password.
- Use your own mobile number and email; the mobile number cannot be changed after registration.
- Log in and add your education details from High School, Intermediate and Graduation onwards.
- Choose your preliminary exam city and claim every reservation category or sub-category that applies to you.
- Upload your photo and signature as shown on the screen, tick the declaration and pay the fee online.
- Check the form, click Final and print it; no change is possible after final submission except in the correction window.
