The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC), Haridwar, has released the Veterinary Officer Selection Examination 2026 notification for direct recruitment to 25 Veterinary Officer posts under the Animal Husbandry Department. The online application process has started on August 25, 2026, and eligible candidates can apply until September 14, 2026. The application correction window will be available from September 22 to October 1, 2026.

Salary & Pay Scale Details Veterinary Officer: Pay Level 10 – ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500/- (7th Pay Commission) Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Benefits, Travel Allowance and other allowances as applicable under Uttarakhand Government rules. Job Security: Government service under the Uttarakhand Animal Husbandry Department, subject to applicable service rules. Exam Pattern Exam Mode: Offline/OMR-based Written Examination Question Type: Objective Type / Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Total Papers: 3 Paper I: General Studies & General Hindi – 100 Questions, 200 Marks Paper II: Veterinary Science – 150 Questions, 300 Marks Paper III: Animal Science – 150 Questions, 300 Marks Total Questions: 400 Total Marks: 800 Duration: 2 Hours for Paper I and 3 Hours each for Paper II & III Negative Marking: 1/4 mark of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for an incorrect answer. Selection: Written Examination followed by the applicable further selection process.
