- Question Type : Objective (MCQ), 4 options, OMR sheet with black ball point pen
- Marking : +3 for a right answer, -1 for a wrong or multiple answer
- Questions in Hindi and English; language subjects in that language (Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Urdu)

- Shift 1 : 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- Shift 2 : 02:30 PM to 04:30 PM
- No change of exam centre is allowed.

How to Download Admit Card
- Open the UPESSC website upessc.up.gov.in.
- Use the exam district link on the home page to see your exam district in advance; this slip is not the admit card.
- Click the “Admit Card Download” button on the home page once the admit card is out.
- Enter your Registration Number or Mobile Number and your Date of Birth.
- Download the admit card and take a printout; no one is allowed in the exam without a valid admit card.
- Carry a black ball point pen; whitener, eraser and other pens are not allowed on the OMR sheet.
- PwBD candidates who need a scribe register at the UPESSC office at least one week before the exam and bring their own scribe.
