Age Limit & Selection Process

• Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 40 years as on 01/07/2026 (PwD maximum 55 years). Relaxation for UP candidates: SC / ST / OBC, skilled players and UP Govt employees 5 years; ECO / SSCO / Ex-Army 3 years + service; CM Fellowship research scholars up to 3 years.
• Selection Process: Written Examination → Document Verification → Medical Examination.

Vacancy Details – Total Posts – 25

• Degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification listed in Appendix Q(ii) of the advertisement (B.Arch, recognised Diplomas in Architecture, Membership of the Indian Institute of Architects).
• And a Degree / Diploma in Town and Country Planning or Housing or equivalent (Appendix Q(i)), OR 3 years experience in architecture, town planning or housing, OR a one-year PG Diploma in Housing with 1 year experience.
• Good knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.

• Graduate from a recognised university.
• Diploma in coaching in the relevant sport from NIS Patiala, Bengaluru, Kolkata, LNIPE Thiruvananthapuram or Gwalior, or an equivalent institute recognised by the Government of India (National Sports University, Imphal is equivalent).
• 2 years experience in coaching.

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.
• PG Diploma in Computer Science, or ‘A’ Level Certificate from the Department of Electronics (DOE), Government of India.
• Good knowledge of software development (C, FoxPro, RDBMS such as Oracle / Ingres / Sybase / DB2 in DOS / Unix / Windows), networking and office automation packages and internet.

• Assistant Architect Planner : UR 05, SC 01, OBC 02 (Female 01)
• Sports Officer : UR 07, SC 04, OBC 04, EWS 01 (Female 03)
• Programmer Grade-2 : UR 01

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Assistant Architect Planner : Level 10, ₹56,100 – 1,77,500 (Group B, Non-Gazetted)
• Sports Officer : Level 8, ₹47,600 – 1,51,100 (Group C, Gazetted)
• Programmer Grade-2 : Pay Band ₹9,300 – 34,800, Grade Pay ₹4,600 = Level 7, ₹44,900 – 1,42,400 (Group B, Non-Gazetted)
• Level ranges as per the UP Government pay matrix (Finance G.O. No. 65/2016, dated 20/12/2016).

Exam Pattern

• Negative Marking : 1/3 (0.33) of the marks of the question for each wrong answer in objective papers; no penalty for a question left blank.
• Minimum Marks : SC / ST 35%, other categories 40%.
• Merit for Assistant Architect Planner and Sports Officer is on the total of both papers.

Assistant Architect Planner

• Paper 1 (Objective) : General Studies 75 + General Hindi 25 = 100 Questions, 200 Marks, 2 hours
• Paper 2 (Written) : Architecture and Planning, 15 Questions, 300 Marks, 3 hours

Sports Officer

• Paper 1 (Objective) : General Knowledge 50 + General Hindi 25 = 75 Questions, 150 Marks, 1 hour 30 minutes
• Paper 2 (Written) : Physical Education (Sports), 15 Questions, 200 Marks, 3 hours

Programmer Grade-2

• One Objective Paper : 85 Questions, 170 Marks, 2 hours
• Computer Application : 50 Questions, 100 Marks
• Logical Ability : 15 Questions, 30 Marks
• Mathematics (Fundamental Concepts) : 10 Questions, 20 Marks
• English Comprehension (Unseen Passage) : 10 Questions, 20 Marks

Exam Centers

• Separate exams for each post at centres in districts of Uttar Pradesh.
• Exam date and centre will be given on the e-Admit Card; no change of centre is allowed.

Application Process

1. Get your OTR number from otr.pariksha.nic.in at least 72 hours before applying; OTR is mandatory.
2. On uppsc.up.nic.in, open “All Notifications / Advertisements” and click Apply against Advt. A-5/E-1/2026.
3. Click “Authenticate with O.T.R.” and log in with your OTR number and the OTP or OTR password.
4. Under Application Part-2, click “Submit Details”, fill the essential qualification and answer Yes / No for each preferential qualification.
5. In the Fee Confirmation Window, pay the fee through SBI MOPS and print the Payment Transaction Slip.
6. Accept the declaration, check the preview, click Submit and keep a printout of the application form.
7. To correct qualification details, log in to the Candidate Dashboard; this is allowed only once, before the correction last date.
