Salary & Pay Scale Details

  • Assistant Divisional Medical Officer (Railways): Pay Level-10 – ₹56,100/- to ₹1,77,500/-
  • General Duty Medical Officer (Central Health Service): Pay Level-10 – ₹56,100/- to ₹1,77,500/-
  • General Duty Medical Officer (NDMC/MCD): Pay Level-10 – ₹56,100/- to ₹1,77,500/-
  • In addition to the basic pay, candidates are eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) (where applicable), and other government benefits as per Central Government rules.

Exam Pattern

  • Mode of Exam: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions)
  • Total Papers: 2
  • Marks per Paper: 250 Marks
  • Total Written Marks: 500 Marks
  • Duration: 2 Hours for each paper
  • Negative Marking: One-third (1/3) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Paper I: General Medicine & Paediatrics
  • Paper II: Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine
  • Personality Test: 100 Marks
  • Final Merit: Based on Written Examination (500 Marks) + Personality Test (100 Marks) = 600 Marks.

  • Center Allocation: Based on candidate preference and availability
