Salary & Pay Scale Details- Base Pay Scale: Junior Time Scale (Academic Pay Level 10) – ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500/- under the 7th Pay Commission.
- Gross In-Hand Salary: Approximately ₹90,000/- to ₹1,10,000/- per month depending heavily on the class of city posting and current Dearness Allowance (DA).
- Allowances & Benefits: Level-10 entitlements including DA, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), CGHS medical facilities, and Central Government Group ‘A’ Gazetted perks.

Exam PatternIndian Economic Service (IES) – 1000 Marks (All Descriptive) - Exam Mode: Offline, conventional descriptive pen-and-paper written test.
- Language Medium: English language only.

- Negative Marking Penalty: For Paper I & II, a deduction of 1/3rd (0.33) marks applies for every incorrect answer.
