  • Height Relaxation: 5 cm for Gorkhas and candidates from the North-Eastern hills, Garhwal, and Kumaon.
  • Vision Standards:
    • Uncorrected Vision: 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the worse eye.
    • Corrected Vision: 6/6 in both eyes.
    • Limits: Myopia should not exceed -2.5D; Hypermetropia should not exceed +3.5D (including astigmatism).
    • Air Force Note: Candidates for the Flying Branch must not wear spectacles and must have 6/6 vision in both eyes.
  • General Health: Candidates must be free from conditions like flat feet, knock-knees, squint in eyes, or any chronic skin/bone diseases. A detailed menstrual and gynecological history is also required for female candidates.

Salary & Pay Scale Details

  • Lieutenant (Entry Level): Level 10 – ₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500/- (7th Pay Commission)
    • Stipend during Training: ₹56,100 per month (Fixed) for the entire duration of training
    • Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month (Fixed) after commissioning
  • Additional Benefits: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance (₹3,600 - ₹7,200 + DA), Free Medical (Military Hospitals), Canteen (CSD) Facilities, Group Insurance (₹1.10 Crore), and High Altitude/Field Area Allowances where applicable

Exam Pattern

  • Total Papers: 2 Objective Type Papers (Conducted on the same day)
  • Mode of Exam: Offline (Pen & Paper / OMR Based)
  • Paper 1: Mathematics
    • 120 Questions | 300 Marks | 2.5 Hours (10:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
  • Paper 2: General Ability Test (GAT)
    • 150 Questions | 600 Marks | 2.5 Hours (2:00 PM – 4:30 PM)
    • Breakdown: English (200 Marks) + General Knowledge (400 Marks)
  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks assigned to that question
  • Selection Stages: Written Exam (900 Marks) → SSB Interview (900 Marks) → Medical Examination → Final Merit List
