Application Fee

• Dependents of Freedom Fighters, Ex-Servicemen, Skilled Sportspersons and Female candidates pay the fee of their original category.
• Payment Mode : Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI or SBI e-Challan

Age Limit & Selection Process

• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 40 years as on 01/07/2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC / ST / OBC as per UP Government rules. Skilled Sportspersons 5 years, Ex-Servicemen 3 years, PwBD 15 years, UP State Government Employees 5 years.
• Selection Process: PET Written Exam → PET Score → Shortlisting for the Main Exam of each UPSSSC Group C advertisement.
• Score Validity: PET score is valid for 3 years from the date of result.
• Normalisation: The exam was held in more than one shift, so normalised scores are used.

Eligibility Details – For UPSSSC Group C Posts

• High School (10th) pass or equivalent before the last date of application.
• Advertisement No. : 16-Exam/2026
• PET is compulsory for all UPSSSC Group C direct recruitment Main Exams.
• A PET score alone gives no claim to any post.

• Question Type : Objective, Multiple Choice Questions

• Total Marks : 100
• Duration : 2 hours
• Negative Marking : 1/4 mark cut for each wrong answer
• Level : Subjects 1 to 9 are of NCERT Secondary / Senior Secondary level

Subjects of 10 Marks

• Current Affairs (Indian and World) : 10 Marks
• General Awareness : 10 Marks
• Unseen Hindi Passage : 2 passages, 5 questions each, 10 Marks
• Graph Interpretation : 2 graphs, 5 questions each, 10 Marks
• Table Interpretation : 2 tables, 5 questions each, 10 Marks

Exam Centers

• Exam Districts : 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh
• Shift 1 : 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Shift 2 : 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM
• Exam centre, date and shift were given on the admit card. They could not be changed.

How to Check Answer Key

1. Open the UPSSSC website upsssc.gov.in.
2. Find the notice for Advertisement No. 16-Exam/2026, PET 2026 Provisional Answer Key.
3. Click the answer key link for your exam date and shift (Shift 1 or Shift 2). The links are also in the table below.
4. Download the master set answer key PDF.
5. Match your answers with the key. Each wrong answer cuts 1/4 mark.

• There is a separate answer key for each of the 6 shifts.
• The answer keys are provisional and stay on the website till 08/11/2026.
• The answer key notice dated 02/11/2026 does not give any objection window. Check upsssc.gov.in for any later notice.
