Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has released the UPTET 2026 notification (Advt. No. 01/UPTET/2026) for Primary (Classes 1–5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6–8) levels. Candidates with Graduation along with D.El.Ed/BTC/B.Ed or equivalent qualifications can apply. There is no upper age limit. The online application window is open from 27 March to 26 April 2026, and the exam will be conducted from 2 to 4 July 2026.

The New Mandatory OTR System The biggest change in 2026 is the One-Time Registration (OTR). You cannot fill out the UPTET form without it. Purpose: Once you complete OTR, your personal and academic data is saved permanently for all future UP teacher recruitments (Super TET, TGT, PGT). Aadhar Verification: First-time applicants must complete Aadhar-linked mobile verification to generate their OTR ID. Correction Note: Details like Name, Father’s Name, and Date of Birth in the OTR must match your High School certificate exactly, as these cannot be changed easily after the final submission. Once qualified, your UPTET certificate is now valid for life. You do not need to retake the exam every few years.
