Application Fee

• General / OBC : ₹600/- (One Paper), ₹1000/- (Both Papers)
• SC / ST / PwD : ₹300/- (One Paper), ₹500/- (Both Papers)

Age Limit & Selection Process

• Age Limit: No upper age limit prescribed for UTET eligibility. Candidates must fulfill minimum educational qualification criteria.
• Selection Process: Offline Written Exam (OMR Based) – Qualifying Only. Certificate issued on qualifying the exam. No Interview or further stages.

Eligibility Criteria

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/BTC) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (NCTE recognized) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Special Education OR
• Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Shiksha Mitra with 2-year D.El.Ed from IGNOU

• Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/BTC) OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/LT/Shiksha Shastri OR
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (NCTE recognized) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year BA/B.Sc.Ed or BA.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR
• Graduation or Post Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed (Special Education)

Salary & Pay Scale Details

• Note: This is an eligibility test; no direct recruitment or salary at this stage.
• After appointment as a government teacher in Uttarakhand:
• Primary Teacher (PRT): Level 6 – ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/- (7th Pay Commission) + Allowances
• Upper Primary Teacher (TGT): Level 7 – ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400/- (7th Pay Commission) + Allowances
• Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical, Pension, Gratuity, Increment & Promotion Opportunities
• Career Growth: Promotion to Head Teacher, Principal and administrative posts as per service rules

Exam Difficulty & Competition Analysis

• Difficulty Level: Moderate – Conceptual & Application-based MCQs; strict qualifying marks
• Expected Applications: 60,000–80,000 (average per year)
• Competition Ratio: Eligibility Test (No fixed vacancies); usually 15,000–20,000 qualify each paper
• Previous Cut-off: General: 60%, OBC/PwD: 50%, SC/ST: 40%
• Success Rate: 20–30% per paper
• Recommended Preparation Time: 3–6 months for comprehensive preparation
